wehey that sounded a little cheesy. but anyway... I was born in 1996, and err... I am a girl. It is my dream (though I doubt it will ever happen - at least not to such an extent) is to revive true rock music. what I mean by true is not like these goody goody bands like Paramore who think they're rebellious because the singer has colourful hair. I mean true like having fun, not doing it for shitloads of cash, new, original,rebellious etc... that kind of rock music. I play guitar and bass, and am in a rock band playing bass while my best friend plays guitar. Not to boast- but I've been playing guitar for just over a year and my teacher has signed me up for grade 5 in winter - that's how hard I've been practising. I am also saving up for a drumkit. but I'm still about £40 short, but when I get one I intend to learn it. My biggest heroes are Bowie, Slash, Brian May, Janis Joplin and George Harrison. I am obsessed. I have read three biographies of David Bowie in the last year. It is my DREAM in life to make original music... something new and exciting, like how the Beatles were in the 60s. My parents tell me it's an unlikely dream, which I realise, but I am so f*cking determined. at school I miss lunch every day to practice with my band, and...er... I have missed several geography lessons because my guitar teacher was helping us get perfect for a gig we had at a pub. The thing is... I'm a girl. And some people say this is the reason that I'll never make it. :( I don't want it to be about money. I just want to bring back rock n' roll... There hasn't been anything like what I described in my life time. All the concerts I save up to go to have all been bands and singers from the 70s. I hate being born now :( oh... and I have the hair for it ;) ;) ;) Sarah - I never said I wanted to be the new Beatles. No one could do what they did to music again. I just want to bring something new. or different. for the past 10/15 years our radios have been playing pop groups and singers that all sound exactly the same... same beats, same autotuned voice, ect... I just want to be something new, but still with influence of rock n roll, rather than electronic and pop. I'm sorry if I'm not making myself clear, I don't really know how to explain it....
